This work was originally for trumpet, 3 oboes, bassoon and continuo. All the parts are a combination of virtuosity and beautiful flowing melodic lines which is why this is a favourite with trumpeters. This is a flashy showpiece for the entire ensemble. It has been dedicated to Chuck Seipp.
